What is Yoga Nidra?
In Yoga Nidra, the body goes to sleep, but the conscious mind stays awake. It often includes guided imagery and body scans. We are constantly overstimulated and this yogic sleep can be very useful to calm our nervous system. Yogaglo Yoga Nidra is some of the best Yoga Nidra I have found. (I also love Robin Carnes Yoga Nidra.) Yoga Nidra would be great for someone needing a relaxing and nourishing practice.
What is YogaGlo?
YogaGlo is a site with online yoga and meditation classes. They have yoga for climbers, parents, moms to be, travel, stress relief, strength building, flexibility, etc. Basically, they have yoga for everything. There are also a ton of videos that lead you through meditation and even dharma talks.
Why I Recommend YogaGlo Yoga Nidra
First of all, there are a ton of Yoga Nidra videos with amazing teachers.
You do need to sign up to access their thousands of videos. Luckily, they have a 15-free day trail, which gives you some time to see if it’s worth it for you. Once you are on YogaGlo, I would highly recommend the following teachers for their amazing Yoga Nidra videos.
- Rod Stryker
- Jo Tastula
- Giselle Mari
- Elena Brower
- Sally Kempton
- Stephanie Snyder
There are more teachers that have Yoga Nidra, but the above teachers are the ones I enjoyed the most.
The second reason is that once you have a YogaGlo membership, you have access to over 3,800 other classes. All of the classes are very high quality. Included in these classes are what YogaGlo calls, “beyond the mat” videos. These videos are similar to Dharma talks. I haven’t found another online yoga site that has this feature. I believe that Dharma talks are an important part of a yoga practice, so the fact that YogaGlo has this makes it very appealing.
If YogaGlo interests you, you may also like Grokker. Grokker is another site that has yoga videos. In addition to the yoga classes, they also have all other types of fitness, as well as cooking and meditation. Read 8 Reasons Why Grokker is Amazing.
