Why is it a good option?
Properly alignment is crucial during a yoga practice. If you have poor alignment you are putting yourself at a huge risk for injury. Injuries from poor alignment can happen suddenly from a fall or over time from constantly putting uneven stress on your muscles or joints.
As a yoga teacher, I can say that a good majority of yoga students have poor alignment. The nice thing that this mat is that not only can the student more easily place themselves, but teachers can spot misalignment much quicker and help guide the student to proper alignment.
Not only is this mat amazing for alignment, but it is also extremely sticky. I do not slip or slide on this mat at all. Which makes it a great choice for people who have sweaty hands and feet like myself.
