This Brene Brown TED Talk is definitely worth your time. She digs deep into what it means to be vulnerable and how to be vulnerable. And she does it with a humorous twist.
There are so many times that we have to face vulnerability.
- stepping into a new and challenging yoga class
- applying for a job
- beginning a relationship
- learning a new yoga pose
- admitting failure or weakness
- putting on that swimsuit and heading to the beach
The list could go on and on.

Brene Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston where she has spent 16 years studying courage, vulnerability, empathy, and shame. She refers to herself a researcher, storyteller, and Texan. Brene has written four books: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, and Bracing the Wilderness.
I first was introduced to her work when I read The Gifts of Imperfection several years ago. It was one of those books that made me feel as if the author was writing about me. I have reread the book several times and it is still kept on my nightstand. I would highly recommend it.
