Welcome! I am so glad that you are here on Journeys of Yoga and you are curious about me!
*If you are a visual person, you will definitely want to check out My Yoga Journey. It is a timeline with text, pictures, videos, and links of my yoga journey. I include all of my monthly reports on it too, so you can click through to different posts to see a very detailed look at what I do each month with my yoga. I update it monthly, so you can always see what I am up to!
My journey with yoga started at a young age. I was in elementary school when I signed up for a community education yoga class. The other students in the class were the age of my parents and grandparents. I didn’t mind. It sparked something in me.
Yoga has been in my life ever since. I wasn’t a hardcore yogi growing up, but I always knew that yoga was a part of me. Up to this point, my experience with yoga has been with very basic and sporadic practice. I am in my late 20’s and have an average fitness level. I live an active lifestyle, but until now I haven’t really felt inspired by my workouts.
I realize now that I want yoga to be a major part of my life. Instead of feeling average, I would like to feel powerful, grounded, and strong. Even though yoga has been in my life for the last 20 years, I feel as though my journey is really just beginning. I have started teaching yoga and am currently going through a 200hr yoga teacher program.
This blog is a way for me to share my experience as I further my practice. Things I am going to cover reach from yoga literature and gear to self-practice and yoga retreats. I also believe that yoga goes hand in hand with holistic living, so I will strive to follow and investigate such practices as well. I am also a contributing writer at TryBelle Magazine. I look forward to studying, growing, and sharing all that yoga has to offer.
I want to invite you on my journey. As I discover what yoga has in store for me, I hope that you too can deepen your practice and enjoy the endless benefits of yoga and wholesome living.
