About Me

yoga, about Abby, Journeys of YogaI am on a mission to create more joy in the world. I aim to spread health and happiness. Helping others create balance in their lives.

On Journeys of Yoga, you will find tips on how to deepen your yoga practice. I am on my own yoga journey (recently became a yoga teacher!) and have a passion for passing on what I learn to my fellow yogis.

*If you are a visual person, you will definitely want to check out My Yoga Journey. It is a timeline with text, pictures, videos, and links of my yoga journey.

My journey with yoga started at a young age. I was in elementary school when I signed up for a community education yoga class. The other students in the class were the age of my parents and grandparents. I didn’t mind. It sparked something in me.Headstand on Beach

Yoga has been in my life ever since. I wasn’t a hardcore yogi growing up, but I always knew that yoga was a part of me. Up to this point, my experience with yoga has been with very basic and sporadic practice. I am in my late 20’s and have an average fitness level. I live an active lifestyle, but until now I haven’t really felt inspired by my workouts.

I realize now that I want yoga to be a major part of my life. Instead of feeling average, I would like to feel powerful, grounded, and strong. Even though yoga has been in my life for the last 20 years, I feel as though my journey is really just beginning. I have started teaching yoga and am currently going through a 200hr yoga teacher program.

This blog is a way for me to share my experience as I further my practice. Things I am going to cover reach from yoga literature and gear to self-practice and yoga retreats. I also believe that yoga goes hand in hand with holistic living, so I will strive to follow and investigate such practices as well. I look forward to studying, growing, and sharing all that yoga has to offer.Working on my crow

I want to invite you on my journey. As I discover what yoga has in store for me, I hope that you too can deepen your practice and enjoy the endless benefits of yoga and wholesome living.

Namaste,

Abby
